Members of the Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) held a protest near the Maldivian Embassy in Colombo yesterday calling for the resignation of President Mohamed Waheed and urging a free and fair general election. Some protesters are seen holding placards during the protest.

Maldives is becoming a Islamic - fundmentalist country.
Sri Lankan ovt should ask all the buddhist statues, if all are not yet destroyed, in the Museum as gifts to Sri Lanka. So, that Sri Lanka can have those.

What's the point of having Buddha statues in a country which does not respect Buddhist values ?
India had Buddhists who were Buddhists.
The result was Both the Hindus and Muslims exterminated buddhists and the buddhism was abosorbed into Hinduism.
Sri Lankan buddhists are Christian - buddhists and Hindu - buddhists. So, they exist. |
