This is the results of broken marriages and families. Lack of proper supervision, the children go astray. Really blame also should go to the parents and mete out some sort of punishment for their negligence.
Generally, this is problem in the economically developed world. Many, families don't have enough time for the children. Children need parents supervision and touch when they are growing up.
When they don't have drug is one cure for them. Some times, here, they become anti-establishement.
In Sri lanka, this happened to very rich families.
In the future, it can come to lesser rich families who are worried more about material success and not about the children. |

They should bring back the use of elephants to crush a man's head, I heard that was a preferred method of execution during the times of the kings. The man is buried in the ground all the way to his neck, then they make the elephant crush his head. Instant burial too! |

My friend in ancient Srilankan family consists of Seeya(Grandpa),ArthAmma(Grandma), Nanda(Aunt), Mama(Uncle),Thattha (Father), Amma (Mother) Etc and they have some kind of control of young generation, who are not 'Matured' to find which is correct or wrong. But today because of our 'UnControlled' open economy policy what ever the trash in western countries immediately enter to Srilanka. Examples are uncontrolled 'Private Schools' , 'Kerokey Clubs', 'Night Clubs' Etc, and above I mentiond honarable characters of a 'Family' became just 'Pupets' and no respect, and possibility of youngsters 'Going Wild' make twice and thrise because of Srilanka's 'Week' or 'Corrupted Police Service. It is very sad. |

WTF? are you saying we look like Tamil Chelvam by any side? :D
You don't understand how we look to the world. It is not because other nations are in fact any less barbaric than us, it is what they show to the world, and to the citizens of their countries, to make their society look less barbaric.
It is exactly that, which is used against us when they are accusing us of 'genocide' and 'rape' etc... Don't you see that?
Now if we caught velu and the clan alive, had a trial that was obviously going to find everyone guilty, and had them executed... there's less 'evidence' for these eelamists out to destabilise Sri Lanka. Its all about how you play this hypocritical game. |

Sri Lanka police had arrested five Arab nationals for distributing literature insulting Buddhism, reported the state owned Sinhala daily The Dinamina.
The Arab nationals have been arrested in Nuwara Eliya district by Nuwara Eliya police on July 10.
They have distributed the offending documents with a stock of dates to the poor families.
The arrested persons have been handed over to the Criminal Investigation Department for further investigations.
They are to be detained in the detention center of the Immigration and Emigration Department. The suspects are likely to be tried before deportation.
Do them what Arabs does in their country. |

Wait. Can you explain how 'uncontrolled 'Private Schools' , 'Kerokey Clubs', 'Night Clubs' Etc,' make the honorable characters you mentioned just puppets? How do those things make people lose control of their duties towards children? Don't pass the blame and turn this into a debate why private universities are bad for Sri Lanka. If anything we need more private schools, because our government can't provide enough spaces to educate everyone at state universities who deserves to be educated. That leaves a lot of people with only school education and no special skills to take our economy forward. |

Recently there was a case in Saudi Arabia where 5 Bangaldeshi's were hung in public and kept for two days for rape and murder. It is not a bad idea.
