Due to the heavy pressure from the Tamil Nadu the Indian Defense Ministry has decided to end the training for the Sri Lankan Air Force personnel at the Tambaram Air force Base near Chennai in Tamil Nadu.

Indian authorities have moved the nine Sri Lankan airmen to the Yalahanka base in Bangalore, Indian media reported.

The nine-month long program for the Sri Lankan airmen is to provide training on ground handling of transport air craft.

The central government has justified the move saying that the phase of the training program at the Tambaram Air force Base has been completed and a new phase will begin at the Bangalore base.

Earlier in the day, the Indian Defence Ministry said the Centre has decided to `send off` the Sri Lankan airmen from the Tambaram base.

`All Sri Lankan trainees are being sent off today from this station as per instruction of the ministry of defence,` Indian Defence Ministry said in a brief statement Friday.

Sri Lanka however said that its Air Force personnel are not being sent back from India but they will continue with their training at a different location in the country.

However, Indian media reports said the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa has vehemently opposed the Central government`s decision to move the Sri Lankans to a different base in India saying that the Lankan airmen should not be trained anywhere in India.

`Tamils want action for war crimes against Sri Lanka. We will not accept the training of Sri Lankan airmen anywhere in India, `she has been quoted as saying.

From this news report, one can understand that the Central government of India is not in Delhi, but in Tamil Nadu.
The Head of the Indian government is not Manmohan Singh (MS), but the toothless aging film actrss Jayalalitha.
MS's government is constantly under pressure from this woman as she knows that her support is vital to keep the MS government in power.
MM is a puppet in her hands!
Some people say that India is the world's biggest democracy.
Is it so?

Another question.
Sri Lankan Service Personnel are not 'pawns' of India.
If they are sent to a particular Base for training, they should end their training in the same base.
Simply because JL barked, MS got afraid and sent our Boys to another Base.
Poor MS!
Sri Lanka should end this 'joker type' defense agreements with India.
Infact, India is not a friend of SL, but an enemy.
They showed it in the recent voting at the UN.
SL should train our pilots, if necessary, in friendly countries...

'India moves training of Sri Lankan airmen to Bangalore'

Some how it may be good, but same way do not train 'Budding LTTEs' to send back to Srilanka, as Rajeeve Ghandhi did it in 1977.
