DAMED:
IT is a pathetic story. IT should not be posted.
These people should be shot at Galle Face in front of every body.
This type of riminals, if they did it here, they would be terminated inside the jail.

There was a report because of the involvement of a Minister this guy was admitted to the Luxury ward of the prison hospital.
I can not understand why People should vote that particular minister who looked after this kind of criminals. These are the ministers that govt should chase away as soon as those stories come out.

'These people should be shot at Galle Face in front of every body.'
Friend that was why few years ago I have suggested in this page, 'Death Penalty' either by 'Hang' or 'Open Range Shoot' will be inserted to the penelcode for the offences,(1) Rape, (2)High Way Robbery,(3)Terrorism, (4)Drug and (5) Abducting.
Personnaly I believe as you understood today, more educated wise citizens will gather around any ' New Political Party' who are going to establish 'Lost' Law and Order during this regeme, just after eliminating 'LTTE' on this land. More you experienced 'Injustice' more you people get 'Wise'. |

July 06, Colombo: Following distressing reports of rising child abuse and rape incidents in the country this year, the Sri Lankan government is considering further strengthening laws on child abusers and rapists.
Cabinet Spokesperson and Media Minister Keheliya Rambukwella has said that child abuse and rape were serious issues that should be addressed.
He has observed that stern laws need to be enforced to prevent incidents of child abuse and rape from increasing further.
Expressing his views on the alleged involvement of Southern Province politicians in several incidents of rape of underage girls, the Minister said the government will punish those proven guilty irrespective of their political stature. Sri Lanka police reports said there were over 700 child rape incidents in the first six months alone of this year.
The Minister has explained that stern laws would create a fear among potential abusers as wells as the society on the whole.
Rambukwella has admitted that there have been requests to re-enforce the death penalty to punish those found guilty of child abuse and rape.
However, he has said that the government has not decided on re-enforcing the death penalty.
The child rights activists meanwhile say although the tougher laws are already in books politically influenced culprits escape arrests or get away with lighter sentences.
Recently there were several incidents of sexually molesting underage girls by local politicians in power.
The activists say most of the offenders get out on bail and repeats the crimes. They call for authorities to make rape a non-bailable offense.

During the war, Sri Lanka gave up on criminal activities and discipline.
IF the leaders want to bring the country back to some discipline forget all these democracy crap.
Legalize Death by hanging.
Televize the hanging of a few criminals and that will drastically cut down the all these criminal activities.
Televized hanging will subsequently cut down the number of people that will have to be hanged.

Mega mate

This is what I most of hate. One cabinet minister Molly Coddles a Rapist another Minister says something very contradictory. This is a joke. Talk, talk talk nothing but talk.
Sri Lanka should make an inovation by introducing Character Analysis and Educational qualifications of all Candidates who apply to all strata of of Political Institution before their apllications are accepted, including to the Parliament or/and even to the Presidency.
This may prevent to some extent of controlling all criminal activities in the Parliament itself. Prevention is better than cure.
For the Presidency they should have stricker conditions not automatic to be elevated from PM or a Leader of a Party.
