If we have people with sensible intelligence we would have not fallen into this mess.

I listened to the people who are against this medical college.
The major concern is this will become a system to discriminate against intelligent students who are not rich enough or can not afford to go to this school as opposed to not that intelligent but the children of those who have power and money.
One home science student had been admitted to the previous private medical college simply because she was a child of a politician. I heard this school has 62 children of doctors.
The major reason is Sri Lanka doe snot have proper system. Everything goes to the powerful or to the rich.
One another example is those children of politicians who are not qualified to sri lankan universities are sent to overseas universities. Now the same thing is possible for children of people who have money and power. |

Sri Lanka desperately need private schools and modernization of the universities.
But because of politics the sri lankan system is highly screwed up.
Because of that, it is impossible to think many private systems.
Look how the private bus system is screwed up.
IF the system is handed over to bureaucrats, these problems will not arise. but, that won't happen when the politicians are not that capable people and when they have the ALLMIGHTY POWER. Because, they are highly insecure and they don't allow the system to work. |

You have to pay only Rs. 800,000 to buy this MBBS.
This is a boutique selling MBBS degrees for money.

Not only MBBS, even other fake degrees are awarded in collaboration with foreigners and these are the guys who even creep into foreign countries under false pretext and end up doing some thing else.
Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide are inundated with IT experts, doctors, engineers, architects who are driving taxis and working in shops. Out side they boast and pretend to be professionals and churning out malicious propaganda out of frustration and severe inferiority complex. |

Intellectuals and Organizations against Private Medical Schools today organised the signing of a petition against the Malabe Private Medical School
How can you call them intellectuals when they are against private medical schools?
Our students are studying medicine all over the world including in countries like India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal and China eroding a large sum from our precious little foreign exchange. We can have that money and expertise in our country if we had private universities. |

Malabe Uni costs about Rs 8mil not Rs800K.
There are 1000's student study in foriegn Universities and get passed, some work in Sri Lanka some work overseas.
There are still intelligent students who don't get an opportunity to go to government universities since those seats are limited. |
