Recently I saw a documentary, Simon Reeves's - Indian Ocean, and he goes to SomaliLand (a northern part separated from Somalia) and cashes Sterling 70 and gets the local cash that he had to carry in a wheelbarrow. The money dealers are seated on the road side with heaps of bundled currency and the dealings are in bundles. No one steals as there is no value.
The main somalia is a complete right off.

Srilanka need US$1 billion for immediate payment of the interest for loans. IMF will loan with lots of conditions. Or borrow from outside with 7-9%. |
