Sri Lanka wins first Test against Pakistan

Sri Lanka comprehensively beat Pakistan by 209 runs at the end of the fourth day of the match to claim the first Test of the three-match series in Galle, Monday.
Sri Lanka posted a formidable 472 with Kumar Sangakkara`s unbeaten 199 and Tillakaratne Dilshan`s century and declared after 137 in the second innings setting a massive total of 510 for visitors to chase.
Pakistan crumbled to 100 in the first innings and fought back in the second innings with the fifth-wicket pair Younus Khan scoring 87 and 80.
After Nuwan Kulasekara bowled out Younus Khan and Rangana Herath took the scalp of Asad Shafiq Mohammad Ayub with 22 and Adnan Akmal with unbeaten 40 struggled to keep Pakistan alive but Suraj Randiv took the last two wickets to end the match.
Kumar Sangakkara is the Man of the Match for his unbeaten 199.
The two teams will meet again on June 30 for the second Test at the SSC grounds in Colombo.
