Three identify chief suspect

Three witnesses yesterday identified the chief suspect in the double murder case at Katuwana at an identification parade held before Walasmulla acting magistrate W L Herasinghe.
The chief suspect, Geeganage Amarasiri alias Julampitiye Amare was brought to the Walasmulla magistrate s court from the Tangalle Prison in a prison bus.
He was produced before the identification parade in connection with the incident where gunmen on motorcycles opened fire on a JVP gathering killing a middle aged woman and a boy aged 18.
Three out of the four witness identified the chief suspect Geegana Ganage Amerasiri alias Julampitiye Amare, attorney at law Sunil Watagala said. The identification parade was earlier scheduled to be held on June 29
