Mamohottige Liyanage Shantha Anthony (41) a labourer suffered from a back ache and went for treatment to a private hospital in Kanuwana, Ja-Ela. He was given an injection and sometime later he collapsed and died.
After he had collapsed the private hospital had transferred him to the Ragama hospital where he died.
His grieving mothers_day.jsp' class=black>mother Jayakody Arachchige Rita Josephin (60) said that he was a father of two and the sole breadwinner of the family and there was no one to support them now.
His wife had gone to the Middle East just eight months back, as they could not meet ends meet with what he earned as a labourer.
They had two children Vasana Kumudini (18) and Janith Priyankara (13).
Rita said that her family wanted the authorities to hold an inquiry and find out what had really happened.
His funeral was held at the Dehiyagatha Roman Catholic cemetery
