So is there anything wrong wikiya calling Boat people as Kallthoonies?
Not at all. Both sinhalayas and Dhemalu are in some way boat people. Boat people need not be kallathonis but migrants!
Sinhala and Tamil migrants at earlier times.
Later only Sinhalays developed kane mail and violent habits, that is after they segregated from the Tamils. |

Sinhalayas - legal people of the island...Kuveni was a native SL, so sinhalayas have every right as Kuveni had
Demalaya - illegal migrants who forcefully entered and took up sinhalse's lands...

Weeratunge is another good story teller, poor fellow. Two strangers, believed to be LTTE guys, were seen near President's suite with a suitcase. Then the president's security arrested him and took the suitcase into custody. The two security guards were sacked and sent back to Colombo. The suitcase with the contents were taken over my Percy. The government believes that President Mahinda Rajapaksa ran the risk of being physically attacked by the UK-based LTTE activists during his recent visit to London to attend the Queen s Diamond Jubilee celebrations and have talks with British government leaders. There could even have been an attempt on the President s life while he was being driven to the venues where he met the Royal family and other British dignitaries.
Secretary to the President Lalith Weeratunga, External Affairs Ministry s monitoring MP, Sajin Vass Gunawardene, and Sri Lanka s High Commissioner in London, Dr. Chris Nonis told the media yesterday at the Presidential Secretariat that the extraordinary security provided to President Rajapaksa was indicative of the British government s concern over threats the LTTE groups in London posed to the Sri Lankan leader.
In spite of tight security provided to President Rajapaksa, two suspicious-looking strangers, believed to be members of protesting LTTE groups, had been sighted in the hotel, where the President and his entourage were staying Weeratunga said.

Is there a real race called Sinhala race, modaya?
I know of a big sambaru finally ended up in the southern part of SL but there are no original, pure, really identifiable stock there.
I also know when Buddism came into SL and later moved towards the south then these sambaru people engulfed Buddism and also Buddism was tolerant to low cast people unlike hinduism so Buddisim remained in the south.
But when the number swelled due to reckless breeding they tried to dominate the high cast race living in the North! |
