Yes, I'm here. How can I help you?
Initial investigations revealed that jewelry and foreign currency worth over Rs. 4 million had been stolen by the thieves.
N/A, do you think Srilankan CID will take the same actions like with SF's son in Laws for keeping and having foreign currency?
Kural needs your help since his buddy Damed is not here.
As for, the relative of MR's wife, who cares. I am sure there are thousands of businessmen who travel and have foreign currency. This guy was the chairman of SL airline and probably travel a lot. The funny thing is, no one can escape robbery it looks like. Let us see how fast they catch this one. They have not found those who stole artifacts yet. |

Catholic bishops engaging in politics and Tamils protesting against Muslims.
Sinhala people are sidelined.
The Eastern University in Batticaloa is helpless to political appointments made to its governing council by Colombo, said the Vice Chancellor of the Eastern University, Professor K. Gobindarajah, following a recent appointment to the council backed by SL Deputy Minister V. Muralitharan alias Karuna causing the students to boycott classes for the third day on Saturday. The appointment of Dr Jaffer, director of the Kalmunai Base Hospital, to the council membership vacated by the demise of Fr. Sylvester Sritharan, is aimed at capturing and silencing the spirit of the university by paramilitary groups operating with the regime in Colombo, said students in Batticaloa. Such appointments theoretically made by the University Grants Commission are dangerously politicised in recent times especially with the universities in the north and east.
Sometimes back, the occupying Colombo has appointed a Sinhala Competent Authority to run the Eastern University, but students thwarted the effort.
As the Eastern University, like the Jaffna University, remains a centre for the liberation spirit of the Tamil-speaking nation in the island, the Colombo regime and its operators of paramilitary politics try all means to capture and make the university impotent, students said.
The SL Deputy Minister Muralitharan alias Karuna and Eastern Chief Minister S. Chandrakanthan alias Pillaiyaan, both deserted the LTTE, are now competing to capture the university.
Even the appointment of the current Vice Chancellor was not beyond politics. Collaborative politics first, education is secondary is the situation in the university, students further commented.
The Catholic Bishop of Batticaloa has suggested the name of a priest for the vacant post in the governing council where maintaining balance is a very sensitive issue (6 Tamils, 3 Muslims and 3 Sinhalese).
The students union of the university has now demanded that a Christian priest should be appointed to the slot in the governing council.
The boycott will continue until the matter is resolved, said the president of the Eastern University students union, T Krishnananth.
No changes will be made in the appointment, says, SL minister MLAM Hisbullah, citing the SL Education Ministry. |

SF's relatives had to go to courts to prove even the 750,000 dollars in the box. |

Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa should not have been invited to the Queen s Diamond Jubilee celebrations, Peter Kellner, Chairman of the Royal Commonwealth Society, said last week.
Kellner is a insignificant little no body, who does he think he is to dictate to other elected heads of state. He should know his place and pipe down with his opinion, otherwise he might be held responsible for the avalanche of criticism directed at the CW Institution by the other Common Wealth Member States. Kellner and his unguarded loose talk will create a such a division it will ultimately destroy the Common Wealth. Kellner talks of Transparency, in that case in the public interest he should come clean and tell the public how much he received for appearing on Channel 4 to utter such divisive nonsensical rubbish.
In getting back to the antics of the diaspora louts:
To me they did Sri Lanka the greatest favour with their monkey antics London. The Burning of the Sri Lankan Flag in London was the greatest insult we have had to face from the diaspora over the years.
Sri Lankans of all hue and of all different political affiliations have laid down their lives in the past for our country & our flag, we find it unforgivable for anyone to desecrate out National Flag by setting fire to it in this manner.
One has to ask the question why the British Police were turning a blind eye to all this lawlessness, the Police proved they are impotent as Eunuchs when it comes to the policing some sections of the tamil diaspora, who If I might add are hell bent on breaking the law.
Now, one has to look why the police are adopting a softly, softly attitude and why their hands are tied behind their backs when it comes to dealing with these persistent law breakers from the tamil diaspora.
Well, to me all evidence leads to one place, and that place is Westminster, the British MP's in the mother of all parliament have been reduced to their knees because of their personal greed, they have to go cap in hand to court the tamil Diaspora's block vote for their political survival. So, these MR's have become prisoners of there own making where the tamil diaspora is concerned. But let me tell you, this scenario is not limited to the British MP's alone, this applies to many other MP's in the west too, they too can't help them self when money & inducements are put in front of their face.
Before Kellner shoots his ugly mouth off and sits Judgement upon on Sri Lanka he should cast his eye and look at the real dirt nearer to home. Not a day go's by where we are not informed of how unsavoury the British Media has acted, in the most cases in the most reprehensible and disgusting way, bribing the police for information, hacking a murdered child's mobile phone account in search of tittle tattle, hacking the computers of patients for medical records. Mr Kellner has no right to dictate to Sri Lanka on standards while walling in pig siht of his own.

The so-called reconciliation
Lands that belong to 183 Tamil families in Thirumu'rika'ndi in Ki'linochchi district have been appropriated by the occupying Sri Lanka Army for a military housing scheme. The Tamil families have filed cases in law courts pleading that they should be allowed to resettle in their own lands in Thirumu'rika'ndi. In the meantime, the SL military intelligence officers visit each family, who reside in Vavuniyaa, and intimidate them to withdraw their cases and to settle at a different place. |

Under exchange regulations of Srilanka, Srilankan can not keep foreign currency in their hand. Either in Bank or travelers cheques.
Under that regulation CID arrested SF's relatives and filed court case.

I think robbers knew very well and stole more than what they claim for.
They have not found those who stole artifacts yet.
