. President Rajapaksa said on behalf of all Sri Lankans he wished to thank the patriotic Sri Lankans, in Britain who had braved the extreme cold London weather to come out to express solidarity with their motherland.

The President who said their expression of solidarity gave him added courage and strength, added he would not allow any force to snatch away the motherland which has been liberated from brutal terrorism.

Members of the Sri Lankan group who expressed their surprise at President Rajapaksa s bold move to come out of the hotel and greet them, said his action added strength to the campaign launched by them in support of their motherland.

The LTTE sympathisers who became helpless in the face of the massive turnout of Sri Lankans in support of the President, were seen meekly dispersing.

. (Lanka-e-News-06.June.2012, 11.00PM) Sarath Fonseka who was released from prison subject to conditions is being lured into discussions along with three MPs of his party with a view to taking them into the Govt. on a package deal, according to inside sources of the Govt.

The same sources say like how discussions were held for the release of Fonseka , via the DNA M. P. Tiran Alles, talks are again in progress in this direction keeping this mum from the Parliament .

May we recall that it was Lanka e news that revealed for the first time the secret discussions of Alles with the Govt. last year.

While the series of discussions were being held, suddenly Alles took ill on his birthday, 3rd of June and he was Hospitalized. The President too being abroad had stalled the discussions temporarily, it is learnt.

Meanwhile , according to Fonseka , he became aware that he had been released sans voting rights only after he came out from prison. MPs, Alles and Jayantha Ketegoda who moved in this matter to get Fonseka released openly said , following the media exposure of Fonseka s conditional release , that Alles will be holding discussions again with the President to restore all his rights what Fonseka has been deprived of.

.Although , ostensibly the present discussions are to achieve the objective noted in the foregoing paragraph , they are in fact aimed at taking into the MaRa regime, Fonseka , Alles , Arjuna Ranatunge and Jayantha Ketegoda as a party on a package deal , it is learnt.

Based on information received, a separate Ministry is to be created in the name of internal affairs for Sarath Fonseka , and some of the present tasks of the defense Ministry are to be assigned to that new Ministry. Tiran Alles is to be awarded the Ministry of aviation services. the sports Ministry to Arjuna Ranatunge and a Deputy Minister post to Jayantha Ketegoda . So , the discussions rather are truly headed towards that direction.

In the process , the restoration of rights of Fonseka in respect of his medals , honors , prestige and voting rights are also being discussed.
It is specially worthy of note , Arjuna Ranatunge earlier on told the broadcasting channels that , with the release of Fonseka , he is ready to accept a sports Ministry portfolio answerable only to the President , and towards that he had obtained the consent of Sarath Fonseka,.

Meanwhile Fonseka during the last several days stated to the media, it is immaterial to him who is the leader of the country or what party is ruling, and they are no issues to him.

. According to information reaching Lanka e news , at the residence of a popular opposition MP as a co ordinator , Fonseka , Tiran Alles and Anoma Fonseka have met recently.
At that meeting Fonseka had not been in favor of the UNP proposal to be presented in Parliament in regard to the restoration of his lost rights and privileges.

The ground cited by him for his disfavor is , if for any reason the Govt. party turns against it , that will militate against his future course he is charting. His future program , it is revealed is the discussion that is currently being held between Tiran Alles and the Govt.

When Fonseka was questioned why he does not join with the current joint opposition party , he had stated , the joint opposition should function with a Council of leaders without Ranil being the sole leader . When Fonseka was further questioned whether there isn t a such leader for the joint opposition now , and isn t Ranil the sole leader ?, he had not furnished an answer.

Immediately after Fonseka came out from jail, his criticisms leveled against the JVP , and via his wife and Tiran Alles indirectly censuring the UNP , the main party of the joint opposition , it was evident that he does not approve of becoming a part of a joint opposition , according to political analysts.

The JVP which campaigned most for Fonseka s release when he was in jail , and even staged a lot of protests abroad , being attacked by Fonseka as he came out was unbecoming of him, the analysts also pointed out.
