Viewing of White Flag video evidence ends

Viewing of video evidence regarding the white flag case ended today (January 11). A part of a speech made by Sarath Fonseka on December 24, 2009 during the previous Presidential election at a public rally in Ratnapura was exhibited to the three member judge panel headed by Judge Deepali Wijesundera.
Consequently Chathura Alwis, a News Anchor of TV Derana who identified the footage and gave evidence stated that he had used footage including the depicted section of the video to be displayed in the news bulletin.
Video footage of a statement made by the former Army Chief, Sarath Fonseka during a press conference held at his political party office premises on December 14, 2009 was also displayed at court today.
Sirasa TV cameraman, Nandana Wimalasena who identified the footage before the court confirmed that the footage was captured by him. The News Director of Sirasa TV, Sangeeth Kalubowila who also testified at court today ratified that the exhibited footage was televised by the media network.
Viewing and receiving of video evidence thereby concluded while further hearings of the white flag case were delayed till tomorrow. |

Some jokers think Ponseka was jailed because of Janz...
Only the Serious govt-Dhobies would accept that.
Fonseka was jailed for contesting Presidential election.
Otherwise, how come SLFP Secretary,a Senior Minister claims that in the govt some ministers and MPs are Rapists, Drug Dealers, Robbers, Killers...etc., etc., but they are not interested in prosecuting them.
He told one tenth of the real story.

Addressing a special forum convened by HSBC Sri Lanka yesterday morning, Dr. Mathai said that Sri Lanka s economy was in strong position compared with many other economies in the world.
That's why begging from IMF. |

Why beg from outsiders, this amount should be peanuts.
Kumaran Pathmanathan, popularly known as KP, was reportedly earning billions of U.S. dollars per month from LTTE fund-raising activities and was in the habit of disseminating misleading news to evade arrest when he was nabbed in a foreign country.
KP was entangled in an in fight with the U.S.-based LTTE activists for LTTE assets worth billions of U.S. dollars after LTTE leader Velupillai Prabakaran and his cronies were killed by the Security Forces in the Mullaithivu district and the Government declared the war on terrorism was over. According to defence sources, KP played a major role in expanding the LTTE s sea activities and had built up contacts with key officials in different countries.
If this guy earned billions per month just think how much he should have transferred to Raja Inc from the 600 accounts govt was talking about. |
