A move by Sri Lanka to donate over 1,500 kilogrammes of ivory it seized last week to the country s Buddhist temples..

definitely Sri Lankan politicians and cronies involved in this Ivory smuggling and business. One of custom officials who did not get his part of the loot must have siezed the ivory consignment.

In the pretext of distributing this to temples ivory will end up with those who originally brought them into Sri Lanka.

This is how things happen in miracle of Asia.

A MASS brawl erupted on the streets of Sydney's red light district last night with punches and kicks thrown between two groups, reported to be US and Australian defence force personnel.

One group are wearing red and black baseball caps and were of dark complexion while the other was made up of predominately Caucasian males

The Caucasian group were Australian servicemen out of Richmond and there are reports the other group are members of the US air force.

A Deputy Inspector General of Police is under investigation for his alleged involvement in treasure hunting, in the Eastern Province, on the pretext of looking for hidden arms and ammunition.

Authoritative sources told The Island that the suspect had planned to launch the treasure hunt with the help of some police personnel and a group of civilians from Embilipitiya.

Sources alleged that the group had been eyeing some archaeological sites in Uhana, Damana and several other areas in the Ampara District. Asked whether disciplinary action had been initiated against the suspects, sources said that the DIG had been directed to stop his bogus search for LTTE weapons.

That cannot happen. There are laid down procedures by the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora


There are laid down procedures when one raises a White Flag too.... and Jingalaas never followed... !

This case should go to World Court in Hague...! Let Hague call the bogus Chief Monks to Hague..!
