Giving any sort of power to Military men to gouvern the country will be like Pakistan where almost all the gouvernments were run by military leaders and ruined that country.
Dont you know most of US presidents are ex-militory officers?
the most recent one is George Bush and his father Bush. in total there are 30 presidents with militory experience.
Giving power to retired militory men is better than giving power to Lawyers..the sri lanka was completely destroyed because most of our law makers are lawyers.
Pakinstan was ruled by active militory men but SF is a retired militory officer, same like George Bush and his father.

This man had the power to take by force, he prefered to go the democratic way and do the right thing, that was the problem

He can continue his good work, no one can prevent that (white-van or imprisonment), but cannnot be ellected
So after failure at SL MR courts he can go to internationak HR courts (like MR 90's) closer to elections
No need to rush, MR will have to give US a better deal, he will be kicked out then, otherwise people prefer SF
UNP, JVP cannot get the act together, pepole need a fresh start, an administrator, not a politico, otherwise it is a conspiracy against the people
Even a wet jail cell could not destroy our hero, only bronchitis, not one to budge and SL, the common people deserve someone like him, it is about time !
