SF has the support of ordinary people, and of a Monk.

nicely put, i think karuna and pillayan(including all the brave tamils who fought against ltte) deserve much credit as any body above!

True, Kokila played a very important role.. without him I don't think SLA would have won.

Joe Public wants to Danuna to come to face the LAw

Don't quote the person who said! If You have common sense, You shd have the brain to think... that if Danuna kolla is CLEAN, Y cannot he surrender himself to the law enforcement through a lawyer???

The court of Law will judge whether he was involved in arms smuggling!

Thnks Debo,

I don't generally reply to Anusd, because I think nature has played a cruel joke on him when he was born. Mother Nature gave him two anus to talk out of and no brain to understand what he writes. Same old story with Anus, always want to shoot the messenger, anus thinks corruption began with MR and if we get rid of MR all will be hunky dory. What a deluded moron, a typical SF supporter.

Bad Mother Nature.

The more Danuna hides himself the more people are likely to believe that he's guilty. Time for him to come clean me think.

LTTE lost because of the internal division created by Karuna faction, which deeply weakened the organisation.

That division created an opportunity for SLA to infilitrate and collect precious information via Karuna led paramilitary. Remember how Tamilselvan was killed ?

Anus can read it till the cows come home but the problem is he doesn't have a brain to understand the subject matter. So no point.

But, hey ho, anusd can eat cheese from both ends and that is something one has to admire.

U have NOT ANSWERED my question! B4 he created the INTERNAL DIVISION he was a TRUSTED Lt of velu and during that period Y couldn't Karuna win the war for Velu?

And the next is..

What was the cause for him to create an 'internal division' when he was a TRUSTED commander of Velu???? B'cos there isn't smoke without a fire! There shd be a very valid reson from Karuna's side to fall out with velu!

:)

Have You got the slightest idea how Che Guvera was killed? and how Chico Mendes was assasinated?? and many other terrorists leaders were killed!

How do You think Israel getting the information of the terrorists leaders they PINPOINT and attack?

:)

So, we all agree that Sri Lanka is better off with the current regime until the Constitution is reformed and the Executive Presidency is either abolished or replaced with a Presidency accountable to the Parliament? May be, a Parliament with two chambers like in India.

Here is one downside to completely abolishing the Executive Presidency: in a multi-ethnic State like Sri Lanka, interests of the minority ethnic/religious groups are often better protected by the President who does not have to dance to the tune of Parliament where the overarching agenda of the majority is interpreted to be in the best interests of everyone - whereby, the State is forced to favor the interests of the ethnic majority over the interests of everyone else in the country. In fact, the roots of the ethnic conflict go back to the pre-1972 period where the Parliament and the Prime Ministers sowed the seeds of disunity and destruction for a later date.

So, JR tried to correct for this 'flaw' in the system, but, he ended up being consumed by the power of the Executive Presidency. Also, the demons unleashed by the Bandaranaikes and the Amirthalingams couldn t be contained anymore.

So, what will happen to Sarath Fonseka's political future? Will he work to reform the fatally flawed political system or he just wants to be the President?

i think it is the solution that most suitable, but then again we need to create a system that doesn't give leverage into communal divisions.
