A Rs. 858 million financial fraud has taken place at Sri Lanka s premier cement manufacturing company, Holcim. It had been revealed that cement bags amounting to the above mentioned value have gone missing when a stock audit was done recently.
Holcim manufactured 12 million tons of cement for the local market every month. Twenty bags of 50 kilo cement sacks are accounted as a metric ton. The price of a Holcim cement bag in the market amounts to Rs. 750. The fraud is expected to have taken place in the production and distribution process and the administration has not taken any action to determine the culprits.
Also, the official responsible for this situation has been granted a promotion. |

Not at all. They are traditional Sinhalese family. Respect their parents and elders. GOTA & Basil.., yes some disagreements between them but when it comes to politics, they all are together. Only youngest brother Dudley who lives in Texas, USA does not much involve in politics. |
