The President believes that Fonseka s bail application might receive a positive response. A decision has hence been reached to release Fonseka before such a verdict is issued by courts. The President is looking at releasing Fonseka and scoring points with the maha sangha before he is released by the judiciary making him gain political mileage.

There is an article in Lanka web by a burgher called J.B. Muller. He is a true Sri LAnkan PAtriot though he is burgher.
Read that article and he explains how Sri Lankan parliamentary system became this secretive, this dishonest.
Those days,during the KING's time, King used to roam around the country in order to find out the needs of the people.
After the colonial invasion, and they introduced the system, Sri Lankan rulers take decisions on their own without informing the public.
So, the parliament is cut throt and only objective is to hold onto power.
So, cut throat parliament paved the way to this situation.
Now, you idiots blame individuals.
Rajapakse was just another from the same system. Only difference is that he is not from the same Colombo ELITE who lived, behaved and talked like the Europeans. |
