I will not comment on the Dambulla incident for a few reasons one being it was done by a handful of people you can't hold the entire Buddhism responsible for it.... Besides I heard a lot of stories....

Dambulla incidence is mostly because of the Dambulla MP.
NEws paper people had asked so many questions from the monk. But, they could not catch him.
Dambulla MP is a former police-man, Once his father who was another MP, died he got this post because it is better income and perks.
AS soon as he became a MP, he had given permission to open a Liquor store in Dambulla. Monk had fought against those things because of that Monk and the MP do not get along well. |
