The gruesome looking Lion in the pandol does not give the true effect(meaning) of the beautiful Pandol that would have been.

This is the mental image of our Podi Hamuduruwo.

Nevertheless :-

Wish all LNP members a Peaceful and a Happy Wesak!

top represents buddhism, down represents sinhala.

Wesak is for buddhists, not for sinhala buddhists
They mixed it up.

What a stupid pandol by these moda Singalayass, the Buddha looks like a tiny mouse where a the lion faced devil looks like the main character of the pandol.

When did these Buddhist barbarian Singala-Modayass do anything correctly??? Stupid Arseholes!

Anyways, Happy Wesak to the non-barbarian Buddhists!

Scary looking lion picture is not appropriate for this pandol. I dont understand what is wrong with our people. Pandol is supposed to tell you a buddhist story. Vesak got nothing to do with sinhala. Tiny buddha statue and huge roaring lion.

' PANDAL' is a TAMIL WORD. Making ellaborate Pandal's for festivals is the tradition of Tamils. The various types of pandals and decorations are explained in the ancient Tamil Epic, Silapathikaram, during the 'Inthira Vizhaa' on the sea sides of the ancient city of KavEri puhum pattanam. The Sinhalese borrowed everything from Tamils, made a few modifications and called it their own. :))))
