clever dingdong like you will be voting for yet another trillion-dollar bailout of handful of failed bankers to rescue the millions of subprime borrowers.
The difference between MR's rescues and US governemnt's rescues are several
1. US failed banks are accountable to repay the billions of public money back to the treasury and over 90% have been paid back. Banks and making billion $ profits again and the congress is watching.
2. Pres Obama does not( cannot)hand law makers( MP's) to vote for his legislation, while MR & Co will harass, intimidate or bribe( with public money) to get the votes in Parliament by the spineless, uneducated MP's who are usually yes men.
3. Money given to Business in SL are hardly paid back and go to the pockets of powerful henchmen. In return most parastatals fund MR's election campaings. (or the chairman loses his job)
4. 60 billion dollar SL economy is no match to the 15000 billion $ US economy for camparing. You are comparing apples and limes.
5. If US government mishandle public money, the free press will dig all the dirt out 24x7. But in MR's Sri Lanka, any media-man daring to investigate will either dissapaer or be met by the white van goons. |

Chinese and east european hookers are walking the streets of col. Brits, Phillipeno, Paki's and Chinks are bringing drugs into the country. Sri Lanka is a international hub.
Personally,I believe Capitalism encourages lots of rif raf activities and that happens in every country. Investment by the private sector ,foreign or local is good for the SL economy due to the trickle down effect.
My qualm always is the rampant waste of public money by MR & Co for big show off events while we are one of the poorer countries of the world. Our poverty is so huge, we have over a million women working as servants in the ME for less than $150/month for a 15 hr work day.
If we have miilions of balnace of payment surpluses and people are wealthy and fully employed, then as a nation we can afford it, But we are far from it. Without the IMF loans, we cannot even meet our minimum expenditure.
In addition, the 'Rule of Law' has gone to dogs.. No wonder hookers and pimps are roaming our streets. They capitalize on the lack of law and order. Just like some of our politicians. |

that is right and explains why the busted LTTE Diaspora backed SF during the elections.
Tann - as always only you understand your logic. General Fonseka fought all 30 years of the LTTE war to save Sri Lanka, mostly on the battle front. In fact MR said he was the best commander in the whole world.
And now you are suggesting he is with the Tamil diaspora?
You may not like to hear this but MR's Sri Lanka is turning into a gigantic mess in all fronts. Its only the massive power of his office and the ignorance of the villagers that keep him there. |

Do not worry Anud, circulars already been sent to relevant departments and institutions to collect tax from those people, Minister said yesterday. He is very keen on this subject.

I bet you none of his old frinds will come to propose him as the commom opp candidate in next PE.
he will be the common opp candidate no 3, no 1 being RW and No2 being Nidan sajith.
best service ponseka can now do to country is to face a natural death in general hospital or in the prison.
dont worry about MR, if there is a situation like you say here, he will loose in 4 years time, let him be there till that time |
