IS there any news article about what the govt politician ASAD ASALI has said.
OR Sri Lankan journalists are there to criticize Sinhala buddhists and the Sinhala politicians ?
In Sri Lanka, the MEDIA freedom that journalists are asking is some thing unique. Just permision to go nuts and earn money. |

Shame how SF is treated. Lot almost all the respect I had for him, but for someone who bled for his country and achieved the unthinkable, its a shame how he is being treated while kunu silva and kudu silva get royal treatment. shik!

The name of General Sarath Fonseka, who provided military leadership to defeat the LTTE terrorism by killing Prabhakaran who was known as the number one terrorist leader of the world, has been removed from the annals of the Army. The medals he earned for heroic acts he performed by shedding his blood had been taken away from him. His pension has been stopped. General Sarath Fonseka who was the first General appointed under the Chief of Defence Staff Act has become a prisoner and identified by a number and languishing in the Welikada prison.

Fonseka to be granted bail depending on good behavior
Minister Dullas Alahapperuma has told a journalist of a national newspaper that the President had told him that Sarath Fonseka would be granted bail depending on his behavior in the next few days.
Alahapperuma had made this comment when the respective journalist had asked what action would be taken since Fonseka could apply bail for the other cases being heard against him after he completed the 30 month jail term imposed by the second court martial. Fonseka completed the two and a half year term on the 26th.
Alahapperuma has said the President is thinking of asking the Attorney General to allow the granting of bail to Fonseka if he shows signs of good behavior.
Jungle law & not Court of law rules in Stinky lanka...

The first meeting of the revived Tamil Eelam Supporters Organisation (TESO), an outfit launched by DMK president M. Karunanidhi in 1985 to express solidarity with the Sri Lankan Tamil cause, will be held on April 30 at Anna Arivalayam, the DMK headquarters. Mr. Karunanidhi, who is also the TESO president, will chair the meeting, which will be attended by DMK general secretary K. Anbazhaga
TNadu is moving on with the Eelam. This is great if it eventually leads to Eelam in Tamil Nadu. Anyone who wants to be a part of that can move there. |

Minister Wimal Weerawansa said though bread prices would go up by 5 or 6 rupees after the imposition of a Rs. 15 tax on a kilogramme of wheat flour, the most unfortunate family that eats bread for all three meals would have to additionally spend only a sum equivalent to the price of two quids of betel (bulath vitas)

Do they expect SF to learn good behavior from Kudu Silvas ?
Was SF criticizing the regime classed as bad behavior ?
Don't they know when somebody occupies a high office some would praise, other would over-praise to get many favours and some would criticize and other would over-criticize. Why can't they take praise and criticism equally and show learned gentleness.

IT is OK to tie anyone onto trees.
IT is OK to steal from the National Museum.
IT is OK to import Narcotics or distribute Narcotics.
Any thing beyond that there will no Bail. |

This dumbulla matter is getting serious day by day ..
Even we learn lessons from the past 69 years , the Sinhala majority govt still follow the old methods to create the problems more until the
Minority people get angry with the majority ..
Even with Tamils its been the same now it's in the peak.
When tigers killed 13 soldiers the govt did not take steps to use their full force to arrest the small group tigers , but used the force towards killing innocent Tamils ..
Same we see here , arrest the monks who got involved in attacking the mosque , and take legal action if the mosque is illegal and settle the matter ..
We have seen the monks behavior and will continue to do the same in future and more will join ..
Its nothing to do with mahinda or DM .. It's with the courts ..
But in Sri Lanka it don't happen that way most of the time ..
Good example is' mervin can't be punished by the central SLFP committee only president got powers - basil

I said tamils will take advantage of this situation to make GOSL look bad again. TNA has already started. Some had a problem with that theory.
I believe this is the time to show leadership by MR and take some steps towards communal harmony.
Both religious groups need to show retrain and respect |
