The rules to put up temples, kowils, churches & mosques anywhere in the country should be applied equally regardless of the religion!
This is a good opportunity to bring constitutional changes & tough laws to put those who harm mutual co-existence - Sri Lanka, we can't fight another war!! Anyone asking for it (doesn't matter which side) should spend their life behind the bars or end up like LTTE...
I agree with you. But...
Srilanka is not a country with a single religion( Buddhism only) or single race (Sinhalese only) country. It's multi-religious and multiracial country.
Unfortunately, religion and race are the time bombs or spread easily germs use by greedy politicians to gain power or recoup their lost power and fanatics religious leaders.
GOSL must control fanatics of each religion and not to make any favors, one against the other.
the GOSL is willing to take any concrete action rather than playing religious and race card to regain it's popularity?

Sri Lankan TRANSPORT BOARD is, for decades, a money losing business. IT is over staffed.
Sri Lankan govt is cash strapped and is struggling.
Yet, today, govt is distributing Rs Kowti 250 as the EMPLOYEE- BONUSes.
What kind of standard the govt is setting.
HOW DO THEY motivate employees this way ?

Just as budhist and christian places of worship are not allowed in muslim sacred places, muslim places of worship should not be allowed in the sacred places of other faiths.
most muslim countries does not tolerate other religions, though we do have thousands of Buddhists living in Saudi, Do they allow any buddhist religous place to operate in Saudi?

| This place is not a mosque in the first place, the Muslim party has not taken permission from Palath Sabha, Town Council to build it - there's a procedure to build religious places in this country and no matter which religion you belong to, you should abide by it. the land belongs to the temple of Dambulla they've allowed the poor Muslim fellow to make a house and live his life but not to convert it to a Mosque . So the facts are, Muslims have violated the law and by simply stating 'Muslim countries have helped Sri Lanka in the UN etc.' will not justify it. The Tamil diaspora have now created the image as if 'Buddhists have demolished/burned down a Muslim mosque' - which we all know isnt't true. |

I thought some of you guys don't accept satellite images and they could be fake, doctored, etc.
If you can't trust them in Mulliavaikal then how about this?
