Sri Lanka has jailed war heroes and have chased some out of the country and
has declared a month for celebrating war heroes.
Just crap.
There may be so many without any help, their parents, their wives and children.
Govt makes some march on the road and display some weapons. Politicians brag about war heroes and about winning the war.
Gon harak voters clap. That is every thing.

You asked when the Sinhalese were kicked out of Jaffna. That was at the same time when Muslims were kicked out. LTTE ethnically cleansed Jaffna as you can see.
some people just dont want to accept the truth. bcos truth is bitter.
You know they are building hindu temples left and right?
everywhere we go in south, we see these temples with elephant gods, but how come they complaint us creating buddhist temples in North?

In 1971: 29.2% of Tamils were living in Sinhala areas while the percentage of Sinhalese living in the Northern province was 4.5%.

No Sinhalese go to the north because there is nothing to do, no development nor business and no prospects at all due to sustained and systematic underdevelopment of the north. Sending a Sinhalese to the north was a punishment transfer...are you aware of that?
Only bakers survived and in fact they did very well and they had no problem. Rest of course the racist Sinhala military and police which naturally the Tamils hated.
But there were a few sinhala professionals and they lived very happily and were treated like heroes. One was Dr Karunaratne a physician and Tamils even did not allow him to go away after his term.
Then there was Lionel Fernando, GA and he was a virtual a king. When his mother died there the Tamils refused to let the body go to the south for cremation and instead funeral was conducted in Jaffna with the entire town was closed its shutters as mourning. This was revealed to me by Mr Lionel himself.
Then there was Vernon Abeysekara, GA and he even wrote a beautiful book about Jaffna and his memoirs entitled 'Images of Jaffna' in 1989. He concluded that 'Jaffna with its splendid qualities, by which we once recognised it, will live again'. Who ruined that? It is both the Sinhala Governments and later the LTTE in addition.
So my dear friend north had no proper irrigation system, work for the farmers is very very hard which the Sinhalese are not prepared to do, no industries, no organised fisheries and even that little was snatched by migrant Sinhala fishermen. All these underdevelopment were deliberate by racist sinhala government and they EXPECTED THE TAMILS TO DEPEND ON THE SOUTH FOR SURVIVAL. Even for medical treatment they had to go to the south. So naturally there will be more Tamils in the South for mere survival.
But on the other hand there were no prospects for the sinhalese in the north except some railway workers and vendors. Even in my predominantly Hindu School in Jaffna there were a number of Sinhala workers who did very well, liked by all and they became later businessmen. There was absolutely no racism.
So my dear friend life in the north was extremely hard and Sinhalese are not prepared for that. They are lazy and the land provided plenty to eat such as jak, dhell, coconut, kiri ala, and so on but not in the north. Jaffna man toiled day and night to make a living. I remember even the Norway Fishing and Boat Building Project was brought into Jaffna in the early sixties by a Tamil who studied in Norway and married to a Norvegian. He stared a fishing industry with fibreglass boat building in Karainagar and it was doing well. Suddenly and NOT unexpectedly the racist Sinhala government forcibly shifted it to Mutuwal and also kicked him out and that was the end. You guys simply never ever allowed Tamils to prosper at least in the north and it was a deliberate racist plan to deprive north from economic prosperity. To this date this racist policy continues and one of the main reasons for not allowing some form of regional autonomy to the Tamil areas if this reason to oppress them in the North and East. It is just pure racist policy of the Sinhalayas.
So if you lament that there are no Sinhalese in the North then please blame your very people and not the Tamils for that. The current forcible settlement of Sinhalese is not for the betterment of the Sinhalese but again to alter the demography for political reason and to ruin the Tamil way of life once again based on naked racism.
Unless and until this changes there is no hope for SL. Hope I have explained to you fairly well within the permissible space and time.

do we check the educational, professional and academic back ground of tamils coming to south from north?
How many tamils, who havent even passed the 5th grade have come from north to south?
what type of service they do to the country other than robbery, drug dealing etc, etc?

Where does it say that one needs grade 5 to come to Colombo? Adei even to go out as a refugee they have to escape through Colombo paying bribes down the line from passport office, police, customs, immigration, travel agents ...come on maha moron.
Even many detainees in the concentration camps in 2009 escaped through colombo bribing all along and who got the bribes...all your Sinhalays.
