While a war hero is being ill treated this way, kudu Duminda Silva, the murderer, rapist, heroin dealer was dispatched to Singapore for medical treatment with Govt. patronage . All his bills amounting to many millions is being paid by the Govt. out of public funds. But, at least now , it is the duty of the Govt. at this crucial juncture when the war hero is in dire problems ailing from lung disease to act in a civilized manner, and take steps to help the war hero to be sent abroad to take treatment .

If persons like Kehelya Rambukwella who was sneaking to the media while Gen. Fonseka was carrying out war operations to save the Rajapakses, and Dr. Jayalath Jayawardena who was holding anti war views can be provided with medical treatment abroad at state expense (public funds), there should be nothing obstructing Fonseka from being provided with medical treatment abroad.
