Govt. to begin fresh probe
The government has once again opened a fresh probe into the execution of 17 aid workers attached to the French non-governmental organization, Action against Hunger (ACF) in 2006.
According to government sources, the Inspector General of Police is expected to appoint a special team to probe into the killing of the aid workers to identify the culprits behind the massacre.
Ceylon Today learns the said team is expected to be headed by a Deputy Inspector General of Police and will be working under the direction of the Attorney General s Department.

Those Tamils in IDP camps are Kallathonis who moved to Sri Lanka during the Velu's time.
So, new lands have to be cleared for them in order to settle. Jungles are full of land mines and they may get killed. |
