When Hilary invited F/M peris, Srilanka's arrogant leader did not let him to go before UNHRC. But now sending F/M with well experienced jokers (only trusted) in external affairs to meet Hilary, most probably for begging mercy.

SL delegation to Washington announced

The Sri Lankan delegation to Washington DC in May, in response to an invitation by US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to further engage on reconciliation processes and accountability issues will include External Minister Prof. G.L. Peiris, Ministry of External Affairs Monitoring MP SajinVaasGunewardane, UPFA Hambantota District MP NamalRajapaksa and Presidential Secretary LalithWeeratunge, Ceylon Today learns.

Minister Peiris was invited for talks to the US in January this year, when Secretary Clinton informed the Sri Lankan government that the US would be bringing a resolution against Sri Lanka at the UN Human Rights Council.

Sri Lanka's president has rejected a call by Indian legislators to withdraw soldiers from the island's former war zone in the north where minority Tamils are concentrated, his spokesman said Sunday. President Mahinda Rajapakse told a delegation of visiting Indian lawmakers that troops could not be pulled out despite the end of the decades-long Tamil separatist war in 2009

Good tough talk Mr. President. Now be tough and clean up the rogue ministers and the thugs.

People are waiting!

Looks like Professor Peiris is becoming a Scapegoat for Defense Secretary (Army & Air Force only) Gotabaya Rajapakshe's Mistakes and Crimes.

Plaestine Israel Confusion is excusable, as the Good Professor is cornered to face the Sri Lankan Human Rights Violations on the International Stage.

This old man is loosing his memory and it is a desease. It is time he hands over reins to someone else.

Why these two incompetent people? The rest is fine. Both are like spies, checking on more competent people.

Damed should tell us what Namal did in Japan (with his assistance of course!)

The four Congress MPs from Tamil Nadu, who were part of a Parliamentary delegation which concluded its five-day visit to Sri Lanka on Saturday, said here on Saturday that they could see some improvement in the life of Tamils there, but there was also lingering fear among them.

Ok finally we are getting some credit. This fear thing is a conspiracy!

What we have to accept first to help solve the National Question is that anyone born in Sri Lanka is a Sri Lankan and the equal of every other person born in Sri Lanka, with the same rights and responsibilities. He is free to practise any religion of his choice and adopt any cultural elements that he finds congenial as long as he does not interfere with the similar rights to which every other Sri Lankan is entitled.

The State should not encourage or interfere or get involved in these matters, especially if it ends up by either showing a preference for one citizen or group of citizens over others

Vision for Srilanka.

How do people who call themselves Sinhalese and Tamils know they are Sinhalese and Tamils?

Interesting!

Think about billions of dollars spent on various annual pilgrimages to New york and by many ministers and their accompanied enoturages to various parts of the world and Geneva etc. then the money spent on advertising firms in the UK and lobbying firms in the US.

How much we have got out of those ? All waste of money.

Darusman report - did we stop that and did we need to stop that - no need. - that is just crap.

LLRC - our own work and we ourselves got hammered on that ?

GENEVA - UNHRC we lost.

We won one in Geneva - That many in the wold understood and Miliband and kuchner did not have chance to win that.
