Lanka-e-News-22.April.2012, 11.30PM) The World gold Council official data report states that the Sri Lanka Central Bank during the last quarter of 2011 had sold 9.3 tons of gold constituting part of the country s national asset. This had been exposed on 18th Oct. 2011. This means that this illicit transaction had taken place prior to this date. The approximate total value of the gold so sold as at 30th Sept. 2011 was Rs. 72300 million !!
According to world data , the price of an ounce of gold in 2001 was US. Dollars 252.00. Today this price has shot up to US dollars 1660.00. The world gold Council predicts that by 2014 , this price will exceed US dollars 10,000/- per ounce. That means in two years , the total value of the gold sold secretly will be about Rs. 400
billion !!

Forget about the war with ruthless animals, now almost 3 years passed. Anyway, you can give credit to MR, GOTA and strategic partner (commander) SF, even Srilanka had several times winning options earlier but S/L gave up under India's pressure. Finally Rajeev factor played and helped for winning the war.
After that last 3 years what your MR and Bros company did and doing?
1.Consolidated his power placing his close relatives and friends to control 100% economy of the country. 100% of the security, (private) security and Arm forces of the country and over 75% foreign services (some of them are uneducated and unqualified even for fish market work) of the Country.
2.Helps,protects and keeps only several mafia type thugs and drug lords. To fool public uses WV and kill 2-3 small fishes.
One of the major Ecstasy importer and distributor Dr.Mervin. No one can touch him and even policemen are acting like dogs front of him.
3.Established two tier systems of laws and orders. Direct influences to Judiciary system. Even cooked charges and forced sentences to jail his major opponent SF.
4.Conducted unnecessary, infeasible white elephant projects with high interest borrowed money, just for his EGO. (Sea port, Air port...etc)
5. Rushed with 18th amendment to consolidate and safe guard his power for ever, when he had to take care of more serious issues like Tamil issue.
6.Destroyed all opposition parties, wiretapping and bribed their members. (offering ministerial posts, money...etc) with vision to keep his power for ever.
7.As a MACHO, appointed and asked to proceed with LLRC, with out consulting.
8. As a MACHO, did not take necessary actions before UNHRC, even he did not let F/M to visit Hilary on her invitation. And resulting 24 countries voted against Srilanka.
N/A, Do you really love your country? Are you protecting Srilanka or MR.R?

China may lose out on approximately US$ 8.5 billion worth of garment exports during the current year due to the rising cost for production of apparels in that country, according to a report released by Capital Alliance Limited, a Colombo-based full-service investment bank.
Good news for Srilanka?
The report states that a growing number of buyers will shift to lower-cost suppliers like Sri Lanka, owing to increasing costs of garment production in China.
But do not put too much hopes. Vietnam, Cambodia and Bangladesh are much less cost of productions than Srilanka.

Big Dispute over 'TOILET' in Sh!t lanka
Ahmed Lebbe, one of trustees of the Mosque, told that prayers were held following discussions with all parties concerned.
Lebbe denied allegations that they were expanding the Mosque area, which was said to be situated within a demarcated sacred area.
He said the area of the sanitary facilities had been enlarged and alleged that it was the cause for the current rumpus.
We completely demolished the earlier construction, as it was in a very bad state and built anew. The construction was approved by the DS officials after inspection, Lebbe added. He claimed the mosque had been in existence for over 60 years and added the land was gazetted as sacred area only in 1982. We are in possession of the necessary legal documents to prove our case, he added.

Sri Lanka shares end down
Sri Lankan shares closed lower Monday and turnover fell back to low levels despite some enthusiasm seen last week after regulators lifted price restrictions that triggered a knee-jerk rally, brokers said.
The main All Share Price Index fell 0.04 percent (2.07 points) to 5,455.06, while the more liquid Milanka index fell 0.36 percent (17.78) to close at 4,905.79. Turnover fell to 247 million rupees, according to stock exchange figures |
