I agree with you they are trapped. And in the other hand MR.R has to show the world that he is committed to democracy. That is why he need the election that to be won by opposition party. Unfortunately, RW is not a winning option, but SF is a winning option. By doing MR.R thinks that he will get softer approach by UNHRC and USA.

Recently, He said that no one in the Army under his command did any war crimes. If some one say that tshouldbe investigated.

Yes, he recently said that. But totally different story he told prior to PE. WHY?. Just to get Tamil votes and diaspora's help (money) and also money from Norway, USA and UK?

Anyway, upto the judges to make decision. Only they should know that USA, UK, Norway and diaspora watching very closely the judgments.
