The Extreme Oath of the Jesuits

American Municipalites are to go bankrupt because they spent far more than they could.
If there is turmoil in the Middle east, SriLanka will go through the same problems as we import oil depending on money sent by maids working in the middle east.
(Reuters) - America's swelling ranks of fallen municipal borrowers have been blamed in the past year on 'what-were-they-thinking' causes, be it a Taj Mahal sewer system in Alabama or an overpriced trash incinerator in Pennsylvania's capital city of Harrisburg.
But the next series of major cities and counties in danger of defaulting on their debt can hardly point to one single decision for their malaise. Whether it be Detroit, Miami or Providence, Rhode Island, their problems have a lot more to do with financial policies that put them on course to live well beyond their means.

The JHU has reminded the visiting Indian MPs that Sri Lanka too, is a sovereign state and that all its decisions are taken in accordance with the supremacy of the people.
It is the parliament of Sri Lanka, not India, that should deal with the devolution of power and the constitution of the island, leader of the party Ven. Omalpe Sobhitha Thera said in a statement.
The visiting opposition leader of the Lok Sabha and Indian MPs should understand and keep these in mind, he advised.
The JHU statement has described as an insult to Sri Lanka s sovereignty the remarks made in India by opposition leader Ranil Wickremesinghe and ex-president Chandrika Kumaratunga. |
