DAMED:
Darusman report was written with the help of a Tamil, Sooka and a guy who did major work to balkanize Yugoslovia.
Yet the govt accepted it and did not fight against it.
I can not understand it. |

I am talking about changes in the Sri Lankan society.
Local politicians or International politics should not involve in that. |

We can get examples both from India and from the West.
Perhaps we can get examples from India. But the West? When the Western values that we so eagerly accept is the cause of all the problems, wonder how we can take examples from the West.

Now interested Sri Lankans have to organize as NGOs and should start changing the country the way we want. WE have to be careful not to get caught in kind of politics whether local or international.
Right. But easily said than done. I doubt very much whether the Society as it is can be changed because it is too far in to the Materialistic way. But, we will have to keep on trying.
What has to be done is to CREATE a NEW society where our children are not sent to Montessori but to places of learning where they are taught religious values. Once these values are deeply instilled, then they can be introduced to the secular education. May be the children will be fully equipped in moral values by the time they are seven or eight years old which means the present system of education needs to be changed. |

A Taliban-Buddhist spoken...!
Monks knows very well how to teach 'religious values' to young boys... and also to boy-monks...!
