Well, the ONLY way out for SL is to return to human values through the religions
Even here people are against 'RELIGIOUS' dogma. Instead they like spiritual values. Because, Religion brings disharmony in tghe society. In this context, I don't mean Buddhism. Because, Buddhism is not considered a religion and it does not fight for either world domination or for human subjugation.
Other than that some human values need to be taught to children. That is essential. |

Isn't this true?
The regime is trying to gain the popularity by creating antagonism of the Tamil people as a weapon to mislead the majority of Sinhala Buddhist in order to be in power. Who ever criticizes the unjust of the regime is portrayed as unpatriotic. This Rajapakse regime can stay in power only when it culminates the communal hatred within the majority gullible competent Sinhalese.
Academician/clergies such as ven. Maduluwawe sobitha, ven Bellanwila Wimalarathna and Athuruliye Rathna should prioritize to brief and guide the majority Sinhala masses not to fall for this racial agitation which is happening in Sri Lanka from 1956. The Tamil community too should understand that it is not the majority Sinhalese Buddhist who are ethnically communal but it is these politicians who instigate the circumstance and expedient the situation in building hatred among the majority for their own benefit to sustain their regime in power.
Power mongers, just wasted three years.

Christianity and ISlam are new religions.
Buddhism is the the only religion
which states that exists for millions of kalpas.
NO buddhists have studied on that.
It says, Just that Kasyapa buddha was reigning about a 1000 0r 500 years ago before the Gauthama buddha.

Tamils hate Rajapakses. they say even after 30 years they Rajapakses.
After 1948,Sri Lanka did not have much time. Tamils began their communal politics long before 1948. Sri lanka had civil wars since 1970. Ony now, there is united country and the govt can look forward to develop the country. Still, all the resources can not be used to develop the country because tamils are sabotaging and foreigners are supporting.
Rajapakse govt is not perfect. Lot of draw backs. But, nothing to do. |

Spets!
Good catch!
Ooops!
I guess people can say one thing with apparently 'authority' and then say something totally opposite appearing to be authoritative. How can we have a reasonable debate on this forum? aiyoo |

Abortions under strict conditions - Allowed in Sri Lanka
The situation on this seems pretty bad. Apparently there are so many illegal centers around for abortion which is banned. Why are these crowed? I supposed poor people cannot afford to have more children and they resort to this. I believe the more common reason is that the illicit affairs or young couples engage in sex which lead to widespread unwanted pregnancies. This is a symptom of social problems. |

How do you know that people are against 'RELIGIOUS' dogma whatever you may mean by 'RELIGIOUS' dogma?
What evidence do you have for saying 'Religion brings disharmony in tghe society.?
Other than that some human values need to be taught to children.
Any idea what these 'some human values' are?

What gets me is the inconsistency of these people. And when they cannot argue with you, they either resort to name calling or filth. You were right, it is better sometimes to ignore them. |
