Sri Lanka had not lifted the warning and in fact, I was listening live, to SLBC and realized that people were stranded all over the place. You basically jumped the gun but that is your right.

Politics with UNHRC! Politics and collection money with 2004 Tsunami! and Politics with 2012 Tsunami?

I placed this posting and at that time Srilanka was out of the tsunami danger, but your government made people to panic more to forget about high price food and other problems for while.

A your citizen says

Our politicians must be praying for the Tsunami to hit Lanka - Rajapakse made millions last time!! Since 2004 people are still living tents!

This is beyond mad. They try to bring MR to everything. Perhaps, a reflection of deep wounds of May 2009.

Fisheries Minister Rajitha Senaratne had stated he has received reports that sea levels in the Kirinda area on the Southern coast of Sri Lanka have receded.

Look, how you and your politician exploiting tsunami alert to panic own citizens. Then poor people will forget about their stomach and other problems for while.

However, the Director General of Coast Conservation Anil Premarathne confirmed that no such incident had occurred.

Sri Lanka does not have a proper system and this is the Sri Lankan system. People continue to suffer.

White vns will not stop these things.

After having had a look around along with a crowd of school children, I left the place to take a bus back to Ratmalana. On the way I met a man . He must have been around 40 or so. He is working for the National Savings Bank. He had been working in the bank for over three years on a temporary basis, working on a computer with which work he is well experienced.

He is a married man with a child. His wife is not working. He is eking out a difficult living. He was expecting the bank to make him permanent, but just when the Bank was considering his case the Bank had received a letter from Namal Rajapakse MP giving the name of 180 persons from the Neela Balakaya, requesting the Bank that some of them be selected for permanent employment with the Bank. That was the poor man s end of the hope of a permanent job.

The Manager of the Bank had called him and said that he is sorry that he has to put off making him permanent as just now he has to accommodate some persons from Matara belonging to the Neela Balakaya recommended by Mr. Namal Rajapakse. That was unjust. This man really deserved being made permanent and now Namal Rajapakse has deprive him of his right. I told him how sorry I am and wished him better luck next time, if Namal Rajapakse stops assuring his popularity by favouring his Neela Balakaya Activists.

Charlie,
Does everything work pefectly in Russia. I was very well aware that there were conflicting reports from different departments. How can you be accusatory about every little weakness in Sri Lanka? Again, you made a big mistake by mixing up tsunami with the criticsm of GOSL. If you use even an unfortunate incident like a tsunami to criticize the GOSL, then you will not spare anything. What if there was a tsunami and killed a lot of people? What would you say then?
Then you would complain GOSL did not do enough. You see your slippery slope?

You do not have to be an astrologer to suggest common sense facts. Anyway, what does M.R. have to do with your mix up?
