UNHRC resolution is passed and we know that GOSL canvassed against the resolution and is defeated which for the ministry of EA is responsible for a great extent.I think after the resolution , the President is also in a difficult position to adjust himself to the post resolution scenario. Within an 365 days from March 22 , GOSL will have to face another UNHRC resolution, I think. GOSL will loose some more countries as the abduction issue in SL has come to the forefront of politics of both LTTE oriented Tamil Diaspora and JVP type oriented Sinhalese diaspora.

What a foolish thing he has done for the country?
I was with great sadness that I saw some of the frequent members of this forum inappropriate comments on the potential disaster that could have happened showing no concern for the people in Sri Lanka who were facing danger. Shame on them. |

The allegations directed at the government regarding the abductions of Premakumar Gunaratnam and Dimuthu Attygalle are a part of an international conspiracy to bring the government to disrepute, acting Media Minister and Deputy Minister of Economic Development Lakshman Yapa Abeywardena stated.

Speaking at a press conference held today (April 11) in Colombo he said that the government cannot forcefully keep the citizens of another country.
Answering a question directed to him by a journalist regarding why the police had not looked into who was responsible for the abductions, the Minister replied stating that the Sri Lankan police are not capable of looking into everything.

I placed this posting and at that time Srilanka was out of the tsunami danger, but your government made people to panic more to forget about high price food and other problems for while.

Fake Russian scraping the barrel to disgrace SL by posting useless news.
To discuss Gunaratnam and Dimuthu is a waste of time. What matters is the Most Sri lankans believe these two are actors, which is true. Gunaratnam got a free ride to Aurelia by the expense of the Australian government. Gunaratnam is under Australian investigations for holding 3 passports in different names. So everyone is happy..

I cannot believe you say that, at that moment, any government would play with the safety of the people knowing what happened in 2004. You say you posted yours after the country was out of danger. You better look at the time. It was not only you but others as well.
This shows how insensitive you are, unfortunately. And one more, thing if you start callng me names, you will be treated the same way.
Do you know what happend during December 2004? Perhaps in Russia, they did not talk about how 40,000 people died! |
