The government has referred the lease of the 99 numbered oil tank farm at Trincomalee to Lanka Indian Oil Corporation under the United National Front government (2001-2004) to the Attorney General for legal opinion. |

Yes, I said so earlier, so what? I always supported Srilanka and earlier supported MR.R. I did support him anticipating he will render his services to ordinary people of the country. But, when I learned he's consolidating his egomaniac power and he is rendering services to his close relatives and their friends, ministers and their friends, Thugs and their friends, Drug kingpins and their friends, I decided not to support him anymore.
Concerning SF, all media propaganda were baseless and no clear cut proofs at all. He is in jail for manufactured and synthetic charges, again judgement was enforce judgement by third party. You can fool some of your your country people. But you can not fool the world. Can you see the results in Geneva?

Basically, SF was not a smart or dirty politician and his uncontrolled words (blabbering) used by MR.R to Jail him and trying to keep for ever. A coalition of more than 70 partners, including the United States, pledged Sunday to send millions of dollars and communications equipment to Syria s opposition groups, signaling deeper involvement in the conflict amid a growing belief that diplomacy and sanctions alone cannot end the Damascus regime s repression.
The West's interest is NOT in ending the repression in Syria but in a regime change that would bring about a regime that can be manipulated by them for the following reasons.
1. The Russians would be denied the ONLY Naval Facility they have in
the Mediterranean. The Russians used the Veto in the UNSC against
the UNSC Resolution on Syria to protect their interest.
2. Israel will have less to worry about Hizbollah when Iran is
attacked. If there is a new regime in Syria, supplies from Iran
to Hizbollah via Syria can be cut off and Hizbollah cannot
sustain any retaliation against Israel for long in the event of
an attack on Iran. Remember, the Hizbollah gave the Israelis a
torrid time in 2006 when Lebanon was attacked for more than a
month. Iranians could very well have made Hizbollah more deadlier
now than in 2006. Israel is most likely to be the prime mover
against Syria.
To think that the West will resort to the same tactics against Sri Lanka is to miss the point completely. It is not to say that West will sit idly. They will not like to be defied by Sri Lanka. But then, there are many other things that the West can do to bring some sense to the SL govt. Unrelated sanctions against Iran has already caused enough concern about our crude oil supplies.
The govt. must realise that slogans that may fool the majority here will not work against the West that is ganging up against SL. The saner course is to find a political solution to the satisfaction of all the communities. That would mean the West will not have a Stick with which to hit us. |

The West's interest is NOT in ending the repression in Syria
Once Syria become Pro-western, they deny the russian access to the Syruan port and then Iran is completely circled too.
Final will be the Iran. |
