Among the large buyers who have already confirmed are Walmart Global Sourcing, ASDA, Arcadia, H & M, Victoria's Secret, Bhs, M&S, Calzedonia, Lulu and Carrefour, the export agency said.

what buys want is a quality product for a very competitive unit price.
M&S Chief Executive Stuart Rose was one of the guys who fought hard for Sri Lanka for the GS plus issue because he does not give a toss about Tamils or war crimes but he knew he was getting quality products from Sri lanka and value for his money. Sri lanka is one of the countries that delivers those standards.
But dirty politicians in the west are trying to use sanctions against developing countries to keep them under control. Those politicians against SL are sponsored by the LTTE.

What we don't want to do is betray our country's sovereignty for trading benefits with the west. There is a line to be drawn what is acceptable and what is not.

Not anymore. Bangladesh and Vietnam have cheaper and quality products with educated labours.

Stuart Rose may fought hard, but it was GSP decision, not a law. But When a law is there, they will obey the law, not like in Srilanka. If the government banned imports from Srilanka.(period)

Sri lanka is one of the countries that delivers those standards.

I agree with you, but still has some problems with delivery timely manner.

B/S, who placed and protecting, keeping the drug kingpins, thugs and killers in the government? Why do not apply laws to them? Why two tier systems of laws in Srilanka? Why journalists can not criticize the government without getting physically harm? Why SF is still in the jail for synthetic charges? All those and other human rights violations are sponsored or done by LTTE? B/S

UK politicians do it purely to get Tamil votes and their funds but not because they love Tamils or against human rights in Sri Lanka. I am sure it is happening throughout Europe & US. They don't give a two hoots about what is happening in Sri lanka but but all the want is to be in power, nothing else.
