The request made by the Secretary of the SLFP, Minister Maithripala Sirisena from the IGP to hand over a list of corrupt provincial council and local government members of the party has been ignored, sources from the Police Headquarters said.

Police Spokesperson SP Ajith Rohana has said that although the IGP has made a request fro regional police divisions for details, a list has not yet been prepared.

However, several police stations have responded to the IGP s request and have submitted the names of 107 members who have been involved in murders, raping women and extortion.

We reported on the 18th that the President has asked the IGP not to hand over a list of names of corrupt SLFP members to Sirisena.

President Mahinda Rajapaksa has reprimanded Minister Arumugam Thindaman in foul language yesterday (26) afternoon and the minister had reportedly tendered his resignation following the incident.

The First Lady had appointed Rohan Wickremasinghe as the head of the Milco Company, which is under Thondaman. Although company had been on a financial decline for some time, no one raised objections due to the close relationship between Wickremasinghe and the First Lady.

Milco had paid Rs. 170 million to sugar traders by last month for sugar purchases to manufacture yoghurt. Another sum of Rs. 120 million had been spent to purchase yoghurt cups. Although trade union representatives have asked the Milco Chairman to increase production, he had rejected the requests and has maintained a 60% production level.

In this backdrop, workers at Milco have commenced union action demanding an incentive payment for the New Year. The trade union representatives have rejected a request by the Ministry Secretary for them to visit the Ministry for a discussion on the matter. All the workers have unanimously criticized the Chairman s unilateral actions.

Minister Thondaman had removed the Milco Chairman with immediate effect after hearing the matter. The President had re-appointed the Chairman a few minutes later. Angered by it, Thondaman had telephoned the President s confidential secretary, MP Sajin Vass Gunawardena and said the President has done a dirty deal. Gunawardena had immediately informed the matter to the President. Unable to contain his anger, the President had telephoned Thondaman and shouted at him in extreme foul language.

Don t you come up with the same antics you did with Chandrika and Ranil. Rajapaksas don t like such actions. I have no problem even if I lose you. You better keep that in mind. Don t try these acts with me again, the President had shouted.

However, the President had been disturbed after hearing that Thondaman had submitted his resignation letter. The President had asked Minister Maithripala Sirisena to bring Thondaman from where ever he is. Presidential Secretary Lalith Weeratunge had asked that Thondaman be kept in the Cabinet since his resignation at this moment would have an impact internationally. It is then that the President had summoned Sirisena and begged him to find Thondaman from where ever he is

While Stinkies are claiming that all those who abstained would have voted for Sinhala lanka, Malaysia has a diff take on it !

Does Stinkies ever know how to calculate atleast using fingers ???

:-))

Putrajaya has defended the decision to abstain from voting in a United Nations resolution urging Sri Lanka to credibly investigate allegations of war crimes during the final months of its civil war there.

n the last few months of the war, more than 40,000 people were alleged to have been killed by security forces and Sri Lankan rebel group, the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Elam (LTTE).

To this, the Malaysian government acknowledged that genocide had indeed taken place in the conflict-ridden country, citing a paper known as the Darusman Report .

the report has said there were human rights violations and crimes against humanity (by the) Sri Lankan government and the LTTE, said Riot.

He said that Sri Lanka s Lessons Learnt and Reconciliation Commission (LLRC) confirmed the same thing, adding that the country s security forces had acted in self-defence.

if during the period of reconciliation, that they don t achieve peace, then the international community will meet and vote whether they will interfere or not, he told the House.

Director of V FM, Rizly Iliyas also known as Money Laundering Dida has come forward to pay the hospital bills of Director General of the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (TRC), Anusha Pelpita, who was admitted to Lanka Hospitals (Apollo) in Narahenpita after he had suddenly taken ill.

Secretary of the Sri Lanka Rugby Football Union (SLRFU), Money Laundering Dida is currently on a visit to Malaysia with Internal Trade Minister Johnston Fernando on a business matter. A head of V FM, Dilshan Hassan had gone to the hospital and asked to pay the bills.

Minister Johnston Fernando has purchased V FM and it is being operated by his racketeer friend Money Laundering Dida.

The Minister has advised Dida to work closely with the TRC director general on expanding the radio station and to make the necessary payments to him.

Therefore, we earlier reported that Money laundering Dida has offered to pay Rs. 20 million to Pelpita to get two more frequencies allocated to V FM.

E-pimpia,

China with 150 and India with 120 will be among the largest delegations.

China is not a importer of finished good from Srilanka, of course they import any raw materials to their country, but exporter of finished goods for other countries and build infrastructures like roads, building etc. using own labors and materials.

India, such a country who will invest $100 in Srilanka and trying to get return not $200 but $1000.

Among the large buyers who have already confirmed are Walmart Global Sourcing, ASDA, Arcadia, H & M, Victoria's Secret, Bhs, M&S, Calzedonia, Lulu and Carrefour, the export agency said.

Can you read above, all the buyers are from USA and EU. If USA and EU will make trade sanctions against Srilanka?

BTW, Victoria's Secret opens their new productions in Bangladesh.
