our arguments for land powers do not hold water. As you know very well, tamils live all over the land and in fact, Wellawatte area and others have been colonized by tamils for ages. When they come, the area grows. In Colombo, I believe majority are tamils.

There you are again the typical standard sinhala argument. The Tamils were not brought by the GOSL in buses and lorries and settled down in wellawatte with financial assistance and military and political protection on free lands. The tamils bought these properties out of their blood and sweat and in fact they paid more than the others to buy these lands.

Of course there are now a large Tamil population in Colombo and majority of them are floating population because of the military atrocities in the north. Once there is a permanent settlement majority of them will go back to jaffna.

Being a capital city, naturally it will be cosmopolitan, don't you understand that. Go to any capital city in the world and see the situation, my dear friend.

Other reason is deliberate underdevelopment of the N&E and naturally this led to large migration of those people to Colombo and elsewhere. This too was due to sinhala racism and mismanagement. This further emphasises the need for land powers and economic powers to the N&E.

There are hindu temples in colombo and who patronises those places? It is not only hindus but large buddist population because buddists have more faith in hindu gods including MR and many others, even killer like Gota. So there is a need for hindu temples and these temples are not built to subdue or control the sinhalese by tamils, please get this message clearly.

But buddist temples in isolated tamil areas where there are no buddist at all is done for a different reason my pal. It is just a symbol of authority and control and nothing to do with buddism.

If you don't understand this then no point talking of reconciliation. Sinhalese have to come out of their mindset that is ingrained into them through decades of poisoning.

No referendum, No role for Opp.

The government has decided to continue the process of implementing the recommendations made by the Lessons Learnt and Reconciliation Commission without the participation of the Opposition or holding a referendum on it.
