the civilian shield argument does not stand because of what MR said at the time, no heavy weapons, zero caualties and only 70 000 civilians.
Thats why
While the war was on I was also hoodwinked, and as Tigers had gone way beyond their cause and with the ripe time of Global war on terror, Tiger split, etc. I was a huge supporter.
If you see I was one of the earliest in the forum to coin eelaam peelaam, etc...

Velu, Sadly these guys don't understand these values because it is the law of the jungle.
Their role is mostly escapism or dodging with excuses. When LTTE was there they blamed them for obstructing peace and promissed 13 ++ after LTTE. They said they won't accept dividing the country.
After LTTE no 13++ and no solution and his so-called home grown solution ie flooding the N&E with army and cheating the world.
Now in geneva again on a mission with promisses and asking for time........and if time is given again nothing will happen unless some other method is resorted to. |

Yeah, if SL is truely against imperialism it should have removed its troops from Haiti.
For colluding with UN & US paymasters this is the case now.
Resolution or not, both are not good conditions for us,
With resolution GOSL will be foreced to take some corrective action, but the percieved enemy would then be seen as the US. Here, the dead end Paksas have a new lease of life, we are stuck with them.......
Witout resolution GOSL will go this path to ruin the country and suck every thing dry, they will certainly fall from grace much quicker, but to get rid of them would be a blood bath..
(This may have been MR's hidden agenda, his main lust is power (some womanising), one brother in to racism, other brother into money, all into corruption.

We all must understand that SL is in the grip of regional power struggle. In time to come we are going to face much more serious issues based on how SL handles the foreign policy.
This China factor is the key issue and the US pushing India from behind to trap SL. US is interested in the region more than ever before with China encircling the region and with changes taking place in Burma, US wants to have a hold there too as there is plenty of untapped resources and Burma may be of strategic importance. India too is in a mess virtually trapped by its own making.
SL of course don't care because there is nothing more to lose. Had there been peace in SL at least after 2009 then US, India and even China may not have had much excuse to get involved here but owing to Sinhala stupidity, arrogance and ignorance they have walked into the trap.
But the irony is that still majority sinhalese don't understand this and they are happy with abusing in filth and showing fingers and believing this behavior will solve the problem. There are also sinhala fools talking of anti-tamil riots and if that happened then there is more opportunity and excuse for direct intervention...our too well familiar 'humanitarian operations'!
All of the Sinhala sins will become the classic trump card for the west to twist its arms in the years to come until MR or anyone declares their allegiance with the west.
Solving the ethnic issue may give some breathing space for SL but the sinhala politicians over the years have spread so much of venom, lies and fabrication about the Tamils to the locals that even if MR wants to settle this matter there will be obstacles.
Maama's planetary position too is not good in the next coming months and being a believer, MR must be spending sleepless nights for all his sins and stupidity. |

It is high time to have Chinese and Russian bases in Sri lanka.
Give all military bases and camps in North to Chinese.
I heard that Chinese like Tamil tarts.
To get rid of Tamils I do not mind giving the country to the devils.
