What I said was:

Over 61% exports income of over 4billions dollars coming from USA and EU, not from China or India.

Read again before b/s-ting:

Sri Lanka is planning to reduce the dependency its exports sector has on the EU and USA market by finding new markets in the longer run, says the EDB.

The Chairman of the Export Development Board Janaka Ratnayake speaking to us said as of now the EU and USA market absorb 61% of our exports.

BOC sells dollars to boost rupee

Date:2012-03-20 15:15:00

The Bank of Ceylon, the state owned bank, sold dollars to boost Sri Lanka's rupee, after it hit a record low of 131.60 a day earlier, despite strong importer demand for greenbacks due to the forthcoming April festive season.

'The state bank sold dollars at 129.00 and the rupee recovered slightly,' a currency dealer said on condition of anonymity. Two others confirmed the move.

State-run Bank of Ceylon, through which the Central Bank usually directs the market, said the dollar sale was for its own purposes and was not an intervention by the Central Bank.

Many dealers said the reason for the sharp rupee depreciation was due to the Central Bank buying dollars to boost reserves. The Central Bank spent more than $2.7 billion in the second half of 2011 to defend the rupee against depreciation.

'The Central Bank has to meet reserves target to borrow the next tranche of the International Monetary Fund loan. So it is buying all the dollars in the market,' a currency dealer said.

They all including LNP 'YES SIR's are behaving and talking like mad dogs these days. No logical approach to any point or no logical answer to any question and when they can not answer, they take whole conversation to insult the opponents.
