I frankly think LLRC took attention away from UN report. It is also the right thing to do as a first step towards reconciliation.

I am not a politician but I mentioned long ago:
I posted long ago that it's better to negotiate with USA and UK something.
So better try to negotiate something with USA and EU.
I would say use the same method or way how Srilanka negotiated first with IMF when Hulary, Obama and EU opposed to release funds.
I think, here MR.R thought and played a game to get his popularity back rather than addressing the real issue. But his opponients understood it.

Dig out some statue or a plaque and aske your 'experts' to declare that sinhala race came directly from Kerala, or Telungu Desam or Karnataka.
