Forget about the dollar...

India to suppport US resolution .
Monday, 19 March 2012 13:35 .New Delhi: In a victory for the DMK and the AIADMK, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Monday said that the government intended to vote in favour of the US-led resolution against Sri lanka at the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC), but the final draft of the resolution was awaited.

'We are still waiting for the final draft of the resolution, but we intend to vote in favour of the resolution,' Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said in the Lok Sabha.

Speaking on the issue of alleged war crimes and Tamils in Sri Lanka, Manmohan Singh said, 'India has stressed on reconciliation and healing the wounds of the Lanka Tamils. We have asked Lanka govt to stress on meaningful devolution of power.'

Last Trade 130.50 up Rs 5.05 (+4.03%)

As per reports from COlombo it is just IMF magic.
This is effect of Rupee free float and import demand driving LKR low.

Astropijja,

Not only me who fabricated stories. Read! another fabricated story:

Sri Lanka s image has of late been tarnished due to the manner in which its politicians conduct themselves. Reportedly, most of the crimes that have been committed, be it frauds, engaging in rackets, taking bribes, trafficking in drugs, et al., have been carried out by persons who have strong links to the government. Furthermore, politicians engaging in such unlawful activities are Members of Parliament, Pradeshiya Sabhas or Provincial Councils.http://www.lakbimanews.lk/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=4941:govt-politicos-in-the-thick-of-illegal-activities&catid=35:news-features&Itemid=37
