Not only the WEST, what about India and China are doing with Srilanka. Very soon India will exploit/blackmail further using UNHRC issue.

Every country keep their interests first. that is normal.
Sri Lankan does not have leaders who are keen to look after the Sri Lankan interests. Instead, they bend to the IC as UNP does or they use foreign aids and everything foreign, as the govt does, in order to look after themselves.

That's why leader of the country must act accordingly and have vision for the future of the country. But Mr.R is busy and fully engaged with protecting his powers, suppresing or destroying his opponients, press freedom and buying out members from opposition parties. Only he does showcase type of propaganda to fool Srilankans.eg. New rock growing port..., opening seromony...new airport....commenwealth game ........etc

Sri Lanka failed to capitalize on what they achieved after decades of war.
LTTE was given a better stage by allowing them stay free.
Reconcillation is not possible with Terrorists.

Army Commander Jagath Jayasuriya addressing troops in Mullaitivu today stated that the Army would be producing a documentary containing eye witness evidence of the final battle that took place in the Nanthikadal lagoon.
There are reports that UK based Channel-4 TV channel have compiled and are going to release another documentary allegedly detailing the death of the LTTE leader. The Army in response to this wants to show the world the real picture and therefore we have begun work on producing a documentary with proper, coherent evidence about the final battle he said.
The commander went on to state that the documentary will provide the world with a true description into the death of the slain leader of the LTTE. The documentary will reveal the true facts into the death of Prabhakaran, people who were involved and who were present at the scene will be interviewed and the world would be given a chance to know what exactly happened in the Nanthikadal lagoon he added.
