it is time every right thinking citizen of this country lawfully express their discontent before the little law and order prevailing in the country is lost.

Otherwise, the deafening silence of some, for their personal gain or otherwise, will be contributing to a rapidly deteriorating situation. They will be aiding and abetting in the early demise of the rule of law,..

World is not blind. If country can not safeguard law and order and protect their own people's(majority of Sinhales)human rights, how's in this earth they can protect minority's rights?

'White Van Saga' of Stinky army continues with Army Spokesman getting the boot from an Angry Goat !!

Now Two Spokesman are announced to talk in two diff voices !

Stupid Stinkies can fool someone sometime, not everyone everytime !

Mayor stands ground, Army denies

The Army says a group of soldiers who were arrested over claims they attempted to abduct Kollonawa Mayor Ravindra Udeshantha last night, had not attempted to abduct him as claimed.

However Ravindra Udeshantha insisted that the soldiers had attempted to abduct him. He said that the soldiers were released last night.

Army Spokesman Brigadier Nihal Hapuarachchi said that the soldiers were involved in a verbal confrontation with some area residents and this is what had later led to the police arresting some of the soldiers.

New Spokesperson for Sri Lanka Army appointed

The positions of Army Spokesperson and Army Media Director have been held by one person until now but from yesterday two persons have been appointed for the positions.

Accordingly, Brigadier Ruwan Wanigasuriya is the new Army Spokesperson and Brigadier G.B. Ravipriya has been appointed as the new Army Media Director.

Brigadier Nihal Hapuarachchi who held both positions earlier has been appointed as the Director of Army Training School at Kottuduwan, Ampara.

No, Srilanka is the only the country with followings excellences:

Srilanka is a so call Democratic country, but what Srilanka's leadership is doing? Safeguarding his power. Main pretender for his position is in Jail for minor or synthetic reasons when own ministers are dealing drugs, getting ransomes, doing extortions...etc. Also destroying opposition parties- buying or bribing their members, using telephone tapped messages making problen between opposition members....etc. Keeping world largest numbers of ministers in the government for a small population.

Can you tell me any other country with these excellences?

No evidence of war crimes found so far: Sri Lankan army

An army inquiry into alleged human rights abuses by Sri Lankan troops during the final stages of the war against Tamil Tiger rebels has so far found no evidence to back such claims, the Sri Lankan army said in a statement posted on its official website on Tuesday.

Army Commander Lieutenant General Jagath Jayasuriya is quoted as saying that false allegations are being leveled against the army and the Sri Lankan government because some people are not prepared to admit defeat of terrorism in Sri Lanka.

However, Jayasuriya said the army investigations, which began this year through a military court of inquiry to investigate into the references in the LLRC report,
has so far not received any eye- witnesses who could provide concrete evidence on the allegations referred to in the LLRC report.

Which Sane Person would like to get a white van ride by giving evidence against army to army ????

Stinkies are just making sure that International Impartial Investigation to be set up against Sinhala lanka will rip of their Humanitarian masks !

It is all going in the direction we wanted !

Now even the Sinhala Catholics are UP in arms against the threats being meted to Eelam Catholics by the Racist Buddhist Sinhalans...!

Even the Sinhala catholics are writing to UNHRC bypassing Buddhist Sinhala lanka !

Sinhala buddhist Mottayans must be 'Bobitted' !

:-))

Christian clergy and laity from South write to UNHRC in support of earlier letter by Northern clergy

To: The President and all members of the United Nations Human Rights Council

We the undersigned, endorse the concerns and calls made in the letter of 1st March 2012 to the President and Members of the UN Human Rights Council by 31 Catholic clergy from Northern Sri Lanka, including the Bishop of Mannar.

We also express our grave concerns about intimidation and discrediting of the signatories of the initial letter and in particular the Bishop of Mannar, by media such as the Sunday Divaina, websites and even government s coalition partners such as the Jathika Hela Urumaya and National Freedom Front by accusing the Bishop of aspiring to become Cardinal of Tamil Eelam and that he should be arrested and prosecuted.

When you read the last part of the thread we can understand how political influence delayed or avoided wind power projects favoring the coal power plants.

What idiots would do such a thing, It should be simply traitors.

coal power plants can produce lung disorders in people living around the power plants. Coal burning is not the favorite today unless it uses the new technology.

Wind power plants can be set up all around and in the cel hills of Sri lanka.

But, they have delayed those.

IT should be Chinese money.
