b4 commissioning the plant, I guess You do have this TEST RUNS, to check for any faults etc! Well that is the procedure..
yes machan normally it takes 1-2 months for tests and in the case of Upper Kotmale still we are doing dry tests and wet tests.
but when Gajan seeya tested China built coal power plant may be he didn't do that. (wink wink)
Else if tested properly how could it break down so often.

Ive been there last week... three towers... only one is being fixed.. rest seems to be done! But not rotating :))
typical signs of UPFA done projects.
Either not completed or breaks down every other day. |

OECF( present JICA)offered financial facilities for the Upper Kot and caoal plant, and they extended it twice , but due to the political presurre (specially church and Thonda factor) then gvmt could not utilize the loan for both projects.
If UPFA gov had any vision plan it would not happen.
Mostly what could have happened is polticians asking for commission and JICA refused and got delayed.
Power generation is one most critical infrastructure requirement country need for development. Yet UPFA government show no urgency that they are showing Mihin air or port. |

I am not to devastate this nation all the time like you...I know this person from my his school days...the most quiet, simple when compare to others ...but from the day it started 23.07.83 lost one of my close friends Lt.A.P.N.C.De Vass Gunawardena...we have lost many lives...both sides....its not the way to finish it....war would have gone for few more days....some knows it very clearly...they will talk some day...
just after the war Bull kicked away few known guys who led the front on compulsory retirement some to jails without any reasons.
every decision taken by this person(lately) has hurt sri lanka in the long run. few knows it, but most dosent want to. two wrongs want make one correct....but tamils still makeing wrong moves. |
