So what do you have to say the 30 years of mayham that LTTE created? Did you support them? Do you agree it was a good thing for them to take arms. Answer the question the same way you want anud to do.
It is true that LTTe did lot of damage and killed so many innocent civilians. But LTTE never fell from the sky.
Tamil civilians were killed by Sinhala civilians and thugs backed by Sinhala government from 56, 58, 77 and then 83 long before the LTTE and the moderate democratic tamil parties were chased away virtually by tamil youth who finally took to arms as they had no alternatives. They felt fighting back in the same manner as sinhalese was the only answer and the rest is history. No where in the world one ethnic civilians went around with the electoral lists torching tamil homes and lives and then claiming the incident to be spontaneous and even MINOR!!!
As a tamil, I felt that it was inevitable for them to resort to counter-violence but however I oppose all civilian killings by BOTH sides. Also LTTE missed some good opportunities for a settlement.
So even now I place all the blame on the Sinhalese for all what had happened and still they don't see the reality.
If there is a reasonable solution I will be more patriotic than you or many others who pretend to be patriotic. They are confused between patriotism and RACISM. |
