Never Again Baboon,

This is what Lt. Col. Lawrence Smith had to say.

'Hello, may I say something to a couple of questions raised. I ve been the defence attach here at the US Embassy since June 2008. Regarding the various versions of events that came out in the final hours and days of the conflict from what I was privileged to hear and to see, the offers to surrender that I am aware of seemed to come from the mouthpieces of the LTTE Nadesan, KP people who weren t and never had really demonstrated any control over the leadership or the combat power of the LTTE.

Disgusting and disgraceful. But this will never change as it is the way of life no matter who the victims are.

How can a human being do such a thing to another human being?

GOSL and LTTE (the remaining ones) have to be properly punished for all these crimes against humanity

Again KP's @ss licker,

you want to say boy was combatant...??

This is the double standards of the west. The boy had bodyguards and they were all killed. It is very possible the boy was killed during the height of the war. Who knows what happened. For C4 to single this out, it is outrageous.

The unprecedented statement made towards the end of Lt. Col. Smith s tenure in Colombo in response to a query raised by retired Indian Maj. Gen. Ashok Metha disputed the very basis of the assertion that the LTTE wanted to surrender to advancing troops, though the government ignored the move.

The US soldier intervened, though Maj. Gen. Metha, who had served as the IPKF commander in the Ampara-Batticaloa sector in 1987, directed the question to Maj. Gen. Shavendra Silva, now at the centre of a controversy over indiscriminate military action on the Vanni front.

Exposeing LTTE is not the matter right now....issues gone beyond Gov control.

I would blame MR.R for that. USA did not help LTTE directly or indirectly, not like some EU countries. Even they helped/shared with Srilanka some startegic information. But when MR.R decided to lick Iran and Lybia's @$$es 3-4 years ago....all problems started.

According to Peiris, the President has appointed Samarasinghe as the head of the Sri Lankan delegation in order to insult him.

The Minister has said that since Samarasinghe had not been assigned the Human Rights portfolio by a gazette notification, the delegates at the UNHRC sessions had ignored him.

Peiris has explained that Sri Lankan ambassador to Geneva, Tamara Kunananyagam s actions have also had an adverse impact on the country during the sessions.

He has said that she was once removed from her post following a medical report that she not in a stable mental condition to hold any office.

He has added that the President has ignored concerns raised by him about Kunanayagam because the President had stayed at Kunanayagam s residence in Geneva when he had traveled there as an ordinary MP.

However, Peiris believes that the resolution could have been avoided if the government met with US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. The Minister has observed that Clinton had asked him to visit Washington and that the President has asked him not to travel there and the issue has now become compounded as a result.

Peiris has pointed out that the President has not made any effort to speak to either the US President or Secretary of State to resolve this issue and that he had also been asked not to deal with the US.

The Minister has said the President s stubborn behavior was having an adverse impact on the government.

Raja try his local method 'bulling issues' with west....

BTW, USA do not like any country's dictatorship other than their own friendly countries. That's the reality. USA asked several times MR.R's government, not to buy opposition members and even to free political prisonor SF.

Now paying price. It's not Srilankans fault.
It's leader's fault.
