No it murdered civilians with disregard for human life including patients in hospitals, aid workers, priests, women and children.
Does this statement refer to the LTTE or the Sinhalese?
LTTE killed a number of innocent civilians in the most cruel manner in buses, trains, public places and places of worship. I totally agree.
On the other hand prior to this LTTEW slaughter began organised Sinhalese thugs killed innocent tamils in temples, churches, homes, buses, trains, etc.
I am particularly aware of Tamil patients being killed at Kalubowila Hospital in 1983. Of course these sinhala thugs in the name of JVP also killed Sinhala civilians in similar manner in hospitals, pansalas, etc.
So killing is part of our life style and no one can ever dare to say that they are clean. But in post independent SL this killing started by sinhalese and no one can deny that.

Police investigations have so far revealed that the double murder had been caused by Dharshana Lokugamhewa, alias Raju, the brother of the Pradeshiya Sabha member with the latter s knowledge. Police said that the Pradeshiya Sabha member had fled from the area with his relatives.
Gajan silva or Deborak silva or Mervin silva, who is this MP?
One day, Kavindya had come home with the parcel without going to school as she had fallen ill and her mother, on suspicion, had opened the so called packet of food and found packets of heroin inside. Provoked, she had gone to the neighbours and scolded them for putting her innocent daughter into in danger by dragging her into their criminal activity. This followed the two families distancing themselves from each other. Raju s brother, who is the Pradeshiya Sabha member, also has a son who served as a Prison Guard and recently had been jailed for possessing heroin in his almyrah within the prison premises. It is also revealed that the consignments of heroin that Kavindya was asked to transport under the guise of a parcel of food was also meant for this son of the Pradeshiya Sabha Member who is now serving a prison sentence. The PS member s son had been caught with heroin inside his quarters only about a week after Kavindya s family found out about the food parcel ruse.
This MP should get at least deputy minister post like Mervin Silva. These people are protected by GOSL unless people take the law into their own hands.

1983 was an unfortunate incident. Do not try to generalize it for other times. Sinhalese did not have a habit of killing tamils. LTTE killed innocent people before 1983. VP himself killed innocent tamils. |

Never never,
1983 was an unfortunate incident.
I agree with you. 56, 58, 77, 83 and thereafter are not only unfortunate but very minor matter!
Only when Sinhalese were killed it was a serious matter and a major issue.
For me killing any life is a serious matter!
On that particular Monday in July 1983 I was riding in a motorcycle from kandy to Colombo and I passed Nittambuwa around 1.00pm. I cannot forget and even forgive what I saw along the road thereafter up to Colombo. Sinhala civilians were pulling out Tamils from buses and cars and beating them and robbing them................but I could not wait to see whether they were killed. Mind you mister I saw police and army vehicles were passing by enjoying the sight and even waving at the murderers.
Luckily I escaped! But I can't be proud about all what I have seen. And I won't ever dare to say that they were minor matter!! |

Usually, Sinhalese are very peaceful nation, but most of cases you tamils provoked them. Go and look at the history, in most cases you Tamils started and provoked them.

What provocation?
Asking for their women, their homes, belongings or assaulting them, raping them, murdering them or snatching their livelihood?
Don't come out with vague excuses.
You can't deny the fact that (unfortunate) Sinhalese are violent people not only to tamils but to their own people too. |
