This is what happened to me last Friday.
Last Friday was full of incidents.
In the morning I went to play some cricket somewhere in Oman, near Muscat. The way over the rugged mountains in the morning was spectacular. The natural beauty is really eye pleasing.
Tried a run out and didnt see that batsman was running towards me. Had a collission and fell down. It wasn't the place to fall down, ground is very rough with a lot of stones. Now left with a big hole on my left palm and some cuts and bruises on the arm and thigh.
Still continued the game and could guide my team to victory with bat:)) Not bad after playing my last cricket game in 2007 summer.
Had to go to hospital after the game to clean up the wounds. They even gave an injection on my butt (ankal, not like injection oranges)LOL
Then we watched the Aussie game. It was such a nice game to watch with a bunch of Sri Lankan friends. After all, Friday was a very good day
UAE has a few good cricket grounds. One in Sharjah one in Dubai and another in Abu Dhabi. All 3 grounds are very good and they host a lot of international games there. I watched SL Vs Pakistan T20 game at Abu Dhabi, very nice ground with a beautiful grand stand. Cricket is not that popular in Oman, but you see a lot of expats playing cricket near the beaches. I too went to play Cricket near the beach. Now left with a big wound on my left palm:(( |
