Only with respect to countries like Russia, China or India they follow a govt policy.
Sri Lanka has got embassies in almost every country and spends a fortune maintaining it and also making trips to these countries, still it is crying about Tamils. So are they acknowledging that the Tamils without PR firms and a proper budget are doing a better job.
For other countries it is the Ambassador or the state who decides it and state dept. listen to them.
How come Kadirgama was able to get LTTE banned funds frozen and the country is still harvesting from the seeds he sowed. So blame your pathetic politicians not these countries. |

hsbc knows the time has come to do bussiness in SL....
Yes right now the market is up, foreign buyers are on a bargain hunt.
Do your own research if your to invest, Bloomberg and other money managers hype in 09/10 only wiped out some of the small buyers little savings they had. |

.The government is spending Rs140 billion annually for subsidies for various sectors of the public, said acting Mass Media and Information Minister and Economic Development Deputy Minister Lakshman Yapa Abeywardena.
Addressing the weekly Cabinet press briefing held at the Information Department yesterday, the acting minister pointed out that the total revenue of the government is Rs 1000 billion per year, and of this amount Rs 140 billion is given as subsidies.
Totally wrong.... Keep offering subsidies ...... But no improvement in productivity..and production ..... So the result is increase of imports......
How to develop a country like this....????? |

Deceived is a very mild word. Poor Kadir was thoroughly hoodwinked.
He was told that when he gets killed by the LTTE 18 Sinhala Virgins would await him in nirvanam in the heaven!
So this bloke decided on 18 Virgins instead of one second hand stuff.
